Spoken cues from the session script. The recording leaves space between these lines; pauses are part of the practice.
Settle, close your eyes, and let your body be heavy.
Begin with the space you know. Can you imagine the space inside your head?
Let that space widen to include your whole body.
Now, without searching for anything, notice that sounds are arriving on their own.
Let every sound in — near and far, sharp and soft — all at the same time, none preferred.
Notice how hearing is already wide. You never had to point your ears.
Can you notice the silence that each sound appears in, and returns to?
Can you imagine each sound as happening inside space — events in a vast, quiet volume?
If a sound is unpleasant, give it a bigger room. Imagine the space around it, and even within it. Let it exist without being fought.
Can you attend to the sounds, the silence, and the space of your body, all at once?
Let listening happen by itself now. You are the space sounds pass through.
Slowly include the feeling of your breath among the sounds.
When the bell comes, let it be one more sound arising in space — and follow it back to the room.
